We (Steve & Mary Cain) went to Daytona Beach FL for a 1 week vacation. We left about 9:40AM and arrived about 8PM. There were no clouds until we got near Daytona Beach. We checked into unit 601 of the Catalina Beach Club Resort 1303 S. Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach FL. We packed bicycles, 2 laptop computers, IPOD mp3 player, small computer speakers, digital thermometer, Klegg Media player, wireless router.

Weather was perfect in the high 70's to 80 degrees. Condo was very nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath, corner unit, ocean front with entire wall of beach view from two sets of large sliding glass doors. Unit had free wired internet and free DVD rental. Area was not crowded with tourists at all.

On the way to Florida, we stopped at a pecan store, Adcock Pecans, in Tifton GA. The pecans at this store were much fresher than those sold in stores back home. They sold pecans, peanuts, jellies, sauces, candies. I got a pecan log roll and it was very fresh. The store was large and full of shoppers.

P7452 23OCT2011 Steve rode 10.3 miles on the beach from the resort to Ponce Inlet. Mary picked him up and his bicycle in the car on the return trip. Two days later Steve and Mary Cain both rode this trip.
