Vacation Highlights.
We flew into Newark airport and rode a train into Manhattan (map below). In Manhattan we traveled by walking, by subway, and an occassional cab ride. We arrived on Friday and stayed a week. Our son Michael and his wife Brooke joined us Sunday through Wednesday.

We stayed on the 16th floor (room 1607) of a timeshare hotel called The Manhattan Club. The lower half of the building was the Park Central hotel and the upper half was The Manhattan Club. There was an owner lounge on the 26th floor with a bar, an exercise room, and a computer room with printers. Our unit had one bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and a small greatroom with a queen sleep sofa and a half kitchen. There was no stove and no washer/dryer.

Carnegie Hall was diagionally across the street from us. Central Park was 3 blocks north. The Carnegie Deli was 1 block south. There subway entrances one block away. McDonalds was 2 blocks away and Subway sandwich shop was across the street.
