notes by Steve & Mary Cain last revision 16APR2011
Steve & Mary Cain flew to Las Vegas and rented a car intending to drive to Flagstaff before nightfall. Ended up spending the night in rental car stuck on I-40 closed due to acciedents and road ice. Low temperature during night was 12F. The next day we checked into Wyndham Flagstaff unit 25A.
1 bedroom deluxe, wireless internet, kitchen, washer/dryer, gas log fireplace with on off switch, jacuzzi tub.
Unique trip conditions
Flagstaff got 12 inches of snow the day before we left. Government budget debates threatened closing of Grand Canyon during this week.
